In reply to alex. haven't tested on windows. It seems easier to just install chrome. I set this up specifically because chrome doesn't have an arm64 version.

Hi! Thanks a lot for really clear instructions, got syncing easily working on Fedora 42 running on OrangePi 5 Pro 🙂 Google has changed UI a bit but with these instructions there was no problems. I have used Thorium-browser earlier on Linux Mint and Ubuntu, but in Fedora I was “forced” to switch to Brave, which I don’t quite like, as I couldn’t get Thorium to work… This was really a game changer for me as now I can use Chromium on all my Linux boxes with syncing enabled!

And btw, in Fedora, file /.config/environment.d/50-chrome-sync.conf worked nicely!

In reply to Igor. Interesting, I haven't used armbian, typically have worked with either Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu or Debian. It would be nice if vendors kept the original source info. OrangePi is the only vendor I've seen that delivered this with their Ubuntu image. Others I've used like Rock Pi don't have much of anything.

In reply to arthur. That I have not tried. I have a 2nd account I use, I'll see if I can replicate. I assume we are only attempting to sync with one, but have access to the other on google services correct?

Armbian community, where they have downloaded build tool for creating an OS. Most of the development is happening here:

All they did is search “armbian” replace “orangepi” and removing authors.

Hey quick question as I have two google account, and with sync enabled, everytime I relaunch chromium I need to relogin to the second account any idea on how to “remember” the second account ?
